Another $#!%&#@ Spec

There is a discussion going on in the Linkedin American Society of Professional Estimators forum regarding the following phrase. This one’s new to me, and it stinks.

” The Owner is entitled to deduct from the Contractor’s pay applications for the amount paid to the architect for evaluating and responding to the Contractor’s request for information…”

So now, not only do we have to fix all the design errors, we have to pay for the privilege.

Here is a great typo I found in a note on some drawings today.

“ALL OUTDOOR WIRING SHALL BE INSTALLED IN NOT DIPPED GALVANIZED STEEL CONDUIT”

Nobody I called can seem to find this product.
